Neo-Narval: New Achievement in Velocimetric Performance

The first exoplanet detected orbiting a main-sequence star, 51 Peg b, was discovered in 1995 using the Elodie spectrograph at the Observatoire de Haute-Provence (OHP).Its hot Jupiter orbit is now well-characterized, inducing a radial velocity amplitude of less than 60 m/s in the host star. During the summer of 2026, the star was monitoredi with […]

First tests of SPIP guiding with its interface

During the nights of April 8 and 9, the initial tests of SPIP guiding with its interface took place at the TBL (Télescope Bernard Lyot). These first tests proved promising. Additionally, some stars were successfully guided in VISION’s mode 3.

New Neo-Narval Fibers

New fibers were installed on June 13th; their performance is identical to that of the old set.Observations have resumed in the usual manner.3.5 months of observation time have been lost. TBL apologizes for this situation.
